CESS Network's Weekly Report: Major Upgrades, Community Engagements, and Strategic Partnerships
Framework Upgrade of CESS Node
CESS Network completed a significant framework upgrade of the CESS Node, addressing issues where some benchmark cases failed post-upgrade. This enhancement is crucial for maintaining the robustness and efficiency of the network, ensuring seamless operations.
Optimized Data Query and Cache Management
The optimization of data query permission management logic and cache refresh strategy for lightweight cache nodes mitigated flooding attacks between nodes. These improvements enhance the security and performance of the network, providing a more resilient infrastructure.
Documentation and Developer Guide Updates
CESS updated its go-sdk developer guide and the official CESS documentation, improving accessibility and user experience. These updates are designed to assist developers in navigating and utilizing the CESS platform more effectively.
Event Participation and Sponsorship
Invited by Genzio Media, CESS participated in multiple events, including the Genzio WEB3 Social Roast, Cake & Taco Party, Media House at Consensus 2024, Marketers Brunch, and Founders BBQ. Additionally, CESS sponsored the Duke Web3 Investor Series at Consensus 2024, collaborating with top institutions like Duke Fuqua and Duke Fuqua Blockchain Club to host hackathons and Web3 events.
Project Development Details
The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.6, consisting of a consensus node and a storage node. Key updates include fixing issues post-Substrate upgrade, deploying cross-chain contracts between CESS and Ethereum, upgrading the Dockerfile for CESS Node, and optimizing the TEE Worker codebase.
Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)
CESS optimized the data query and cache refresh strategies for lightweight cache nodes to mitigate flooding attacks. The go-sdk developer guide was updated with new explanations and code examples, enhancing the developer experience.
Blockchain Explorer (Substats)
Basic functionality tests for the new version of the blockchain browser were completed, ensuring its reliability and efficiency.
CESS Website Enhancements
The official CESS documentation was restructured to facilitate easier navigation. A backend management system for DAO cloud mining activity and genesis nodes was implemented to enhance user participation experiences.
Testnet Overview
The CESS testnet, 123 days post-launch, features 28 consensus nodes, 10,058 storage nodes, 21.73 PiB verified storage space, and 32.50 PiB total storage space. The ongoing miner reward event incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, fostering network growth and development.
Community Activities
CESS engaged with the broader Web3 community through various events hosted by Genzio Media. These included the Genzio WEB3 Social Roast, Cake & Taco Party, Media House at Consensus 2024, Marketers Brunch, and Founders BBQ. CESS also participated in the DePIN & AI Infra Meetup & C(S)hill with zkPass at Consensus24, exploring innovations in decentralized storage and CD²N.
Final Thoughts
This week has been significant for CESS Network, marked by technical upgrades, enhanced documentation, and active community engagement. These efforts highlight CESS's commitment to advancing decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. The continuous improvements and strategic partnerships underscore CESS's pivotal role in revolutionizing the industry.
